Disguising Repetition

A good or great instructor

To be good at a martial art, students need to practice their moves continually. However, if you repeat the same drill all the time, students will get bored and quit.

Therefore we need to disguise repetition.

Being able to disguise repetition is one of the qualities that differentiates a great instructor from a good instructor.

Ways to Disguise:

Here are a few ways to practice a basic Snap Punch-Reverse Punch

  1. In Lines
  2. Shadow Spar
  3. Partner Defence Drill
  4. Focus Pads Techniques
  5. Punch Bags Power
  6. Hand Weights/Resistance Bands
  7. Fitness drills (pushups to Guard then Snap-Reverse Punch)
  8. Sparring with Snap – Reverse punch only
